About Daniel Miller
Daniel Miller is a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a Hospital Corpsman with the Fleet Marine Forces during Operation Enduring Freedom. His experiences at sea and in combat medicine shaped his understanding of trauma, resilience, and the ways meaning is carried through the body long after events have passed.
He is the founder of Operation Freedom Recovery, a nonprofit organization and podcast dedicated to supporting military veterans and their families through recovery and reintegration. His work centers on exploring pathways to healing that honor lived experience, personal agency, and inner transformation.
Daniel is a certified breathwork facilitator and has worked with individuals navigating trauma, transition, and identity, helping them reconnect with presence and embodied awareness. He completed his MBA, integrating his background in service and wellness with systems thinking and leadership.
His writing emerges from the intersection of lived experience, imagination, and careful listening, often exploring themes of memory, inheritance, and the relationship between human life and the natural world.
He lives in Idaho with his family and is a proud father.
